Flat, square, reinforced and machine-trowelled

Concrete Shed Slabs

A shed slab has to do two things: be dead flat and dead square so the frame goes together without a fight, and take whatever ends up on it — a hoist, a workbench, a boat, a ute.

We pour slabs for garden sheds, garages, workshops and farm sheds, finished with a power trowel so the surface is hard, dense and easy to sweep. We pour the slab and leave it ready for your shed builder; we do not erect sheds, and we do not do house or building slabs.

Everything that goes into the price

What you get

Why a good slab saves you a bad shed

What we get right

Square to the kit

Bring us the shed plan or kit specification before we form up. Kit sheds are unforgiving: the slab has to match the frame, including where the anchors land.

Edge thickening

The perimeter is thickened where the frame bears, so the edge does not break away under load.

Specified to the use

A garden shed slab and a workshop slab with a hoist on it are different builds. Thickness and reinforcement are set against the use, not off a standard sheet.

Flat enough to work on

A workbench that rocks and a roller cabinet that runs to one corner both come back to the slab. Machine trowelling is what stops that.

Questions

It depends entirely on what is going in it and what the ground is like. Tell us the use and we will set the thickness and reinforcement to suit, and state both on the quote.

The slab itself usually does not, but the shed often does, depending on size, height and where it sits on the block. Your council or shed supplier will tell you.

That is the usual order. We need the shed dimensions and anchor details first.

No — we pour the slab and leave it flat, square and ready for your shed builder.

Yes. A machine-trowelled slab is the right base for it, and polished concrete is a popular workshop and garage floor. Tell us before the pour so we prepare the surface accordingly.
